About HomeCareScorecard
Choosing a home health, hospice or personal-care agency often happens in a hurry — after a hospital stay, or when a loved one's needs change suddenly. The information that matters is public, but it's scattered across Medicare spreadsheets and state PDF reports. We put it in one place.
What we believe
- Public data, shown plainly. Every number links back to Medicare or the state.
- No guessing. When there isn't enough data, we say so instead of inventing a score.
- No pay-to-rank. Agencies can't buy a better score or position.
- No fake reviews. We don't copy ratings from other sites. Verified family reviews are coming later.
Who's behind it
HomeCareScorecard is an independent project founded by Karl Staib. It is not affiliated with Medicare, CMS, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, or any agency listed on the site.
We're starting in Texas (Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth) and plan to add more cities and states.
